Qibla Direction (Compass & AR)
Find the exact direction for salah with our online Qibla experiences. The first, traditional compass, the second augmented reality.
How accurate is this?
The 119° figure is a true bearing to the Kaaba, calculated from your coordinates by great-circle formula. That number is reliable to within a fraction of a degree of your stated location.
The arrow is less precise. Phone compasses read magnetic north, which differs from true north by up to roughly 20° depending on where you are, and this tool does not apply a magnetic-declination correction. Phone magnetometers are also easily disturbed by cases, cars, speakers and steel-framed buildings.
For daily prayer this is normally close enough — scholars hold that facing the general direction (jihah) of the Kaaba suffices when precision is not attainable. If you want certainty, confirm with your local mosque's mihrab.
