Local Storage & Preferences
This site runs no advertising scripts. It does use Google Analytics, which sets cookies; your own preferences live in your browser and never leave your device. Here is exactly what is stored, and how to erase it.
No ads, one analytics tag
There is no advertising network on this site and nothing here is sold to anyone. There is one third-party script: Google Analytics 4, which sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<id> to tell repeat visits apart and reports page paths and approximate location to Google. To opt out, use Google's opt-out add-on or your browser's tracking protection. Everything below is separate: it is your own local storage, which never leaves your device.
What the site does keep is 17 named entries in your browser's local storage — your chosen reciter, playback speed, theme, bookmarks and reading position. That data:
- stays on your device and is never transmitted to us;
- is not tied to any account, identifier or advertising profile;
- is readable only by this site in this browser;
- disappears entirely when you clear it below, or clear site data.
One exception, stated plainly: pages send anonymous Core Web Vitals performance numbers (load and interaction timing, plus which page was measured) to our own server. No identifier is attached, nothing is written to a database, and it is not used to follow you between pages. See the privacy policy for the full statement.
Everything stored in your browser
All entries are localStorage unless noted, meaning they persist until erased. Nothing here carries an expiry date, because nothing is sent anywhere to expire.

Recitation audio streams from a third-party CDN (audio.qurancdn.com) and prayer times come from api.aladhan.com. Those requests are subject to those providers' own policies; we send them no information about you beyond what any web request necessarily includes.
